Allison Cohn is as an independent Casting Director and Talent Booker, with over twenty-five years of experience. She started out as an executive in the Talent Department at Comedy Central and eventually went out on her own as an independent and freelance Casting Director, where she casts a variety of projects across different platforms and venues, with a focus in comedy and with comedic talent.

Allison started her career in Los Angeles, working in the Talent Department at Comedy Central, finding comedians and comedic talent for the network's various series. She discovered, championed, and booked numerous comedians at the start of their career who are now well known. Following her time at Comedy Central, she moved on to work in the Talent & Casting department at MTV first in Los Angeles and then in New York, where she cast the network's pilots and series, pinpointed emerging talent for casting and development, and produced comedy showcases for network executives featuring up and coming talent that would be a good fit for the network. Following MTV, she held a staff position in the Casting Department at ABC Television in the New York office, where she became familiar with NYC based actors, both comedic and dramatic, through the audition process for series regular roles on ABC/ABC Studios primetime scripted pilots and series. In 2009, she went out on her own, starting her own casting company. As an independent Casting Director and Talent Booker she works on a variety of projects including sketch shows, adult animated series, live action scripted pilots and series, hidden camera shows, talent driven talk shows, panel shows, talking head shows, commercials, promos, and more.

Since 2022 she has been working with Just For Laughs to curate the New Faces of Comedy stand-up and character performers who are invited to perform at the highly anticipated industry showcase at the annual festival in Montreal in July.
